I had a dream when I was 7 yrs old to change the world to a better place. My dream grew stronger for every day. Today I live my dream every day with Awoque – social media for social good – and inspire others to chase theirs. A great job, do not you think? Last week, I hade the privilege to give a lecture on Storytelling at Xelera, I told them my story, my why, that inspired my whole life, my carrier, the company I own.

Proliv exists to support men and their families who have received the diagnosis prostate cancer. As may organizations, they struggle to communicate with their members, to increase general awareness and to keep a positive outlook on the volunteer-based work load. Utilizing social media can be a way to increase positive attitudes and using each volunteer hour more effectively, if the necessary time is spent on setting a social strategy.

I firmly believe that it is the “media” within social media that stops many to explore the possibilities with online tools and channels. I always start my inspirational workshops by moving the “media” out of focus and concentrating on the “Why”, the basics of a great dialogue and sales strategy. My three basic tips:

  1. Stay true to you passion for the cause
  2. Tell stories to strengthen to show good examples
  3. Focus on the dialogue and asking questions

Believe in who you are and be proud of it. These two steps is where it starts to be successful in social media. Most of know why we talk to our friends and collegues and how a great conversation starts and continues to become a lasting friendship. I dare you to see, really see. When you do, it will hurt, but you will gain experiences of a life time and be true. This world will be a better place.

I want to thank a great audience yesterday in Göteborg at Entreprenörs & Ledarskapsdagen för kvinnor arranged by Anneli Egestam

Here is my lecture (in Swedish) from Bambuser. I would love to get your feedback!

And the debate in the following panel:

Najma Victoria Ahlén Awoque Mötesplats Skola GöteborgI had the privilege to moderate the conference “Mötesplats Skola”. About 150 participants from organisations, schools and companies gathered to share experiences, knowledge and ideas. The goal is to create more venues where commercial and educational organisations come together to collaborate. The meeting took place in just under two hours and the buzz was constant in the room. Of course, we only got started. I will share more from this event as soon as the result comes. The dialogue continues on Facebook at the page “Mötesplats Skola”. Mötesplats Skola Facebook
Here is the photostream from GR Utbildning and some happy winners of the award  “Utmärkelsen”.

We also had a fun fall week with a “Introduction to social media” course for Svenska Bokhandelsskolan both Monday and Tuesday. We will share further insights with you next week from them. The interaction with the course participants continues in a closed Facebook group where questions can be answered and new ideas brainstormed.
