Yes, you can come to the conference and focus on keynotes and panels. Fill you calender tight with pre-booked events. But then you might miss the true magic. When you just end up having an inspiring conversation with people who blow your mind, ask intriguing questions and getting your ideas challenged. Today I had lunch with a group of creative people and one hour later, we spread our passionate stories and dream projects. We now have a group on Facebook called Overlap where we can continue the conversation.

Be inspired, like I was by Marcus Goodyear´s post on on 1000 Years of History at SXSW – a poetry response to a noisy place

Do this in life. Try it. Just sit down next to someone. Ask them a question. Magic could happen. Social media enables and lets you connect and stay connected. Enjoy!

When I post this more than 62 million viewers have seen the KONY 2012 film on YouTube. This movie will socially impact us and create change this year. This movie got us all thinking, wondering, wishing that we will succeed to bring justice to this cause.

The first session I visited was on “Social Media, Social Change, and Social Filmmaking” also #sxDocChange on Twitter. Every session has a pre-printed # to gather a community. This enables us to enchange and continue the conversations long after. I could also find new people to follow.

Here is a great blog post about the session by Calandra Buckner. I put the panel discussion on our Bambuser channel.

Thank you ACU for the warm welcome my first time back on campus in 8 years.  When I took a tour and around the new library, the AT&T studios and watched the creative work flow, I was so proud to be an alumni of this school. All ready back in 1990′s, we had the best equipment, the greatest professors and the challenge to make a difference in the world.

kacu bradshaw awoque victoria ahlenI look forward to meeting and interacting with all the students, faculty and PR professionals during my days here. Thank you Dr Bradshaw for encouraging me to get my dreams back in school. I finally ended up in front of the camera in the media buzz working with social media.

Thank you KACU for the coffee and always making me feel at home! Good luck celebrating your 25th anniversary on Thursday.

Follow me today on Twitter @awoque and I will do my best to let you get a part of the High5 spirit here!

Hello Abilene/ACU and Austin/SXSW, looking forward to meeting you on March 4-19. What sessions do you think I should attend? What question would you like answered? I promise to share my journey here on the blog and of course on the Awoque Facebook

On Sunday my US adventures begins. I will start by visiting ACU to meet students, PR professionals, faculty, lecture and go looking for social media creativity. The award winning ACU Connected awakens my curiosity. I will share my findings with you.

On March 9, the conference South by Southwest starts and a delegation from the West Chamber of Commerce will go looking for answers to:
- How can to Göteborg / western Sweden become Europe’s number one meeting place for creative and cultural industries? Here is a short interview with the project leader Sandra Norberg (and Erik Nissen) from October at Handelskammardagarna:

We feel passionately about food. We like eggs. Why not help inspire more people to create an omelet, cook food?

Learn how to make an omelet and join our group for passionate food creators at Folkmästerskapen i Omelett. Last year´s winner Jeanna Kanold, chocolate entrepreneur at Flickorna Kanold, shares her winning recipe from 2011 with white chocolate and strawberrys.

Hello my name is Johanna Olsson and I will do my internship at Awoque this spring as a social media producer. I study to become a webmaster and my passion is food. I am also a certified chef. One of my assignments will be to socialize “Folkmästerskapen i Omelett” on February 24 in Göteborg during the conference “Passion för mat (food)”.

I will also be one of the twenty contestants in the competition. Please share ideas on what to put in the Awoque omelet and follow our work the event here on our blog, in the Awoque Facebook group and on Twitter #awoqueomelett.

Here is a video clip from Swedish TV4 with last year’s winner Jeanna Kanold:

How are you? Kind of missed you during almost 4 weeks of offline mode.

Welcome to a brand new year with Awoque. This year we will aim to work harder and inspire you every step of the way to use social media to increase motivation, sales and honesty. Lots of #High5:s in store of course. As white as the snow falling outside my office window as clean is my mind. I charged my batteries with a fantastic vacation in gorgeous Sri Lanka. I will share some of my ideas from the trip later on during the week.

In March, I am off to South by Southwest to get inspiration, find new trends and interview people. Of course, I will share many stories with you here on the blog. If you have a specific question you would like to have answered or a new technique you want to find out more about. Get in touch and I might be able to help you. If you live in Sweden and want to travel to SXSW with Handelskammaren read this blog post>>

I got inspired yesterday. Jonas Bauer, CEO at Vasaloppet, visited the popular breakfast club in Kungsbacka yesterday to tell us the story on why/how a ski race got to be so much for than just a single event. The event inspires thousands of volunteers to get involved, more than 7 000 fans on the Facebook, and a leader who talks strategically and passionately about all events, actions and communication plans. A big High5 from my heart. Go Go!!

Here is a glimpse of one of Västsvenska Handelskammarens events for members in one of their business networks at Liseberg yesterday broadcasted through Bambuser. Guests on stage were Anna Mannheimer and Peter Apelgren interviewed by Johan Trouvé. The subject in focus was “Interaction between the culture and businesses, is it necessary?”

Should one show what happens in an exclusive members network at a business event? Or should it stay off limits for non-members? Or could it be used for recruitement/marketing purposes? What do you think?

Believe in who you are and be proud of it. These two steps is where it starts to be successful in social media. Most of know why we talk to our friends and collegues and how a great conversation starts and continues to become a lasting friendship. I dare you to see, really see. When you do, it will hurt, but you will gain experiences of a life time and be true. This world will be a better place.

I want to thank a great audience yesterday in Göteborg at Entreprenörs & Ledarskapsdagen för kvinnor arranged by Anneli Egestam

Here is my lecture (in Swedish) from Bambuser. I would love to get your feedback!

And the debate in the following panel:
