Time to sum up a great year of new opportunities and challenges. I want to thank all my clients, followers and fans for your support and trust in Awoque. I learn from you daily and constantly meet new people who inspire my future adventures with the power of social media.  A few hightlights:

- A journey to Texas in March: We are all Rockstars of the Future>> and Proud Alumna to ACU>>

- Socializing Restaurant Pinchos to a successful launch in April

- Participating in many great events: The Event, Folkmästerskapen i Omelett, Venture Cup, Avalon Outside

- A big applaude to “Sommarlovsentreprenörerna” in Kungsbacka, and my team members this spring Johanna Olsson, Olivia Widén and Bill Selander. Thanks also to my former chairwoman Deborah Lygonis. You guys rock!

After a well-needed energy boost at midsummer with my family, I will be off hiking in a non-cellular, non-wifi zone in a few days. I might tweet every once in a while so keep up at @victoriaahlen. This blog rests.

When Awoque restarts in August, I will introduce news and new beginnings. Stay tuned for that. Have a #high5 summer and wear out that sun chair.

I had the privilege to inspire on the topic “Finding business online” in Dalsland at the Event arranged by Innovatum. Erik Nissen Johansen from Stylt Trampoli also gave a lecture on Storytelling. The two subjects connect because it is all about your “WHY”. When telling the story of your brand, your product, yourself, your staff etc, tell it straight. Be personal, stay honest and give the reader a good story.

Most of the people I meet think social media is a trick or really hard to learn. My usual answer is – you all ready know how to do it successfully. If you act online as you would with your best friends and as you would in your greatest client relationships you are on your way. The technique – to post, show photos, upload videos, create buzz etc- you might need help with. Ask your fans, followers and in forums and you will get feedback. Do not hesitate to ask professionals for help as well. Social Media is the best honest marketing, PR tool out there.

The Marmite Social Media Case

Hello my name is Johanna Olsson and I will do my internship at Awoque this spring as a social media producer. I study to become a webmaster and my passion is food. I am also a certified chef. One of my assignments will be to socialize “Folkmästerskapen i Omelett” on February 24 in Göteborg during the conference “Passion för mat (food)”.

I will also be one of the twenty contestants in the competition. Please share ideas on what to put in the Awoque omelet and follow our work the event here on our blog, in the Awoque Facebook group and on Twitter #awoqueomelett.

Here is a video clip from Swedish TV4 with last year’s winner Jeanna Kanold:

I got inspired yesterday. Jonas Bauer, CEO at Vasaloppet, visited the popular breakfast club in Kungsbacka yesterday to tell us the story on why/how a ski race got to be so much for than just a single event. The event inspires thousands of volunteers to get involved, more than 7 000 fans on the Facebook, and a leader who talks strategically and passionately about all events, actions and communication plans. A big High5 from my heart. Go Go!!

Here is a glimpse of one of Västsvenska Handelskammarens events for members in one of their business networks at Liseberg yesterday broadcasted through Bambuser. Guests on stage were Anna Mannheimer and Peter Apelgren interviewed by Johan Trouvé. The subject in focus was “Interaction between the culture and businesses, is it necessary?”

Should one show what happens in an exclusive members network at a business event? Or should it stay off limits for non-members? Or could it be used for recruitement/marketing purposes? What do you think?

Lars Backström, CEO of Västtrafik, decided to get the views of the fans who comment on issues concerning public transportation in the area surrounding Göteborg. Since he keeps an active dialogue on Twitter, he posted the invitation there under the #vasttrafika last week. The goal was to get a dialogue going and answer questions.

At Awoque, we think this a a great positive example of starting in the right mind set. High5 to you! Always start my listening and asking questions. This time Lars Backström chose a meeting place at the central coffee house Condeco. We will keep you posted on what happens next. Follow us on twitter @awoque and you will not miss a thing :) . We can also help you socialize your events and save all the positive energy!

We did this short interview with Lars Backström right before the fans started arriving.

We continue socializing the 10th anniversary celebrations for the newspaper Faktum. This week they can be found at the fair Bokmässan in Hall 2 display nr: H04:10.

Follow all the events and more live broadcasts Saturday September 24 from around Göteborg on Bambuser and on Twitter.
Björn and I will try to catch as many of these people in action during two hours. Wish us luck!

What any event organizer wants is to create energy. This morning, Kungsbacka Frukostklubb did just that. They brought in Manuel Knight as a motivational speaker. To save some of this energy for future commercial or memory purposes one can record a part of the lecture to show later. Here are two clips from Bambuser we recorded for you. (Most of the material is in Swedish. We recorded with permission.)

Here are some of the photos we took the High5 lecture.Manuel Knight Kungsbacka FrukostklubbManuel Knight Kungsbacka Frukostklubb image 1
