Awoque believes that passion and courage is at the heart of all successful social media initiatives. We like to look at the bigger picture, helping organizations to develop and transform their business through sustainable social networking. This is what a common process looks like:
- a couple of meetings with the management to get to know the company, values and goals. We look for the story to tell
- a workshop with as many of the staff as possible
- Awoque scans the online market to get a current view on the brand, its fans and the work field
- our client gets an report and a suggestion on a starting strategy and suggestions of activities

After many successful business cases, we encourage our clients to spend sufficient time on understanding and educating themselves about the various aspects of social media. It is an earned media.  It takes a personal engagement from as many of the staff as possible to increase the chances of becoming a social organization and reaching set business goals.

A great book to read is the “The Thank You Economy” by Gary Vaynerchuk.

Capture the moment

Capture the moment

Yesterday Avalon Hotel in Göteborg celebrated spring and invited 400 guests. Awoque teamed up with event producers Relevent and captured the energy, athmosphere and the fans’ comments online. Here are some more photos on Avalons Facebook page taken by talented photographer Emelie Lager.

Next week we start sharing offices with Relevent on Kungsgatan 42 in Göteborg. Please drop by for a cup of coffee.

pinchos_logotypAwoque applauds Pinchos today and wishes them a happy start with their first tapas restaurant opening in Göteborg tonight at 5 pm. This is the first restaurant in town where every order goes through an app.
“I want people to go out and eat more and to be social. Having a strong online profile and an open dialogue with our fans is an absolute must”, says founder Fredrik Mattsson.

Awoques mission so far:

  • Socialized the company and the team. Providing education, answering questions and forming a social media policy.
  • Connecting them with fans and getting conversations started online together with the staff
  • Monitoring the brand online and measuring spread, reach and impressions
  • Socializing the pre-party online and inviting & interacting with fans and early adopters of the brand.

Friday Fun FashionDAYS

We had a really good time awoqueing FashionDAYS at the Auto7H arena in Borås this week.

Fashion shows, the release of the new BMW 1-series, mingling, champagne, lots of work and High 5′s.

It really is a blessing to be able to combine my interest in fashion and design with my social media work at Awoque. Apart from our task to capture the spirit of the event and socialize it for our client. It was interesting to work with a multi-oriented audience that enjoyed the fact that FashionDAYS mixed fashion with cars, as well as other designs. FashionDays is much more than a garment event, it was a creative experience.

20110901-043122.jpgFacebook is a social media channel, a giant window to communication with your friends, peers, customers and the unknown. This service is open 24 hrs. The majority of Awoque’s clients contact us to get help primarily with their current Facebook-page or to establish their own presence there. And could the page be ready tomorrow? (A quick fix.)

How often does that work? I had a great quote from a network collegue today in Göteborg. “My mom asks me how working with Facebook can be a job?” From the day I started my professional carrier working with online media in 1998, I have had to answer the same question. I have had to motivate my skills and the reasons any new invention is a paid service since there are ways to get it free by doing yourself or getting the help of family member. I wonder how many other business professionals in other fields feels the same way?

My answer to all is of course:
- It takes talent, skillful strategy and a little bit of luck to get it done professionally, to really stand the best of chances or at least increase the chances that the campaign, launch of service etc reaches the set business goals. On Facebook, you need to establish relationships and really listen before you act and start selling.

On Tuesday the Swedish newspaper Computer Sweden published an article on the subject with the name – build relationships on Facebook, stop direct sales on this topic.

What do you think?

As we are coming off the vacation period (here in Europe anyway), I thought it would be fun to catch up with some social media statistics. So take a look at “The World of Social Media in 2011 – All The Statistics, Facts and Figures” with social media stats updated for 2011, a fun video put together by the folks at Omobono.

There is now 152 million blogs and 77% of UK consumers would use information from blogs to influence their purchasing decision.

Time to re-think your stance on social media? Give us a call.

Last night, I enjoyed an evening with Awoque at Åby Travbana in Göteborg with Västsvenska Industri- och Handelskammaren. To show some of the fun we had and to illustrate how easy it can be to record and save a great moments online, here is the story (in Swedish):

Thanks to Bambuser that smartly uses social media to spread the fun.

Next time you are at a conference or seminar with your organisation, think about how you can use these events to create fun and interesting content for your social media channels. Or give us a call, we would be more than happy to help you.

Let us stay focused on twitter this week. If you want an effective online tool to both boost an event before, during and after, this is the tool for you. If you choose to combine it with Facebook, Bambuser/YouTube and Instagram/Flickr you can add more color to your tweets.
Centimetermaran Kungsbacka Innerstad Maj 2011

  • Choose channels and decide how/if you want to connect them together

  • Share your chosen # with your fans/audience early. More on hashtags, #>>
  • Listen, ask questions, as well as broadcast your messages.
  • Always use proper language.
  • Be honest and have fun

If you want to know more about event reporting, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
