Follow your heart. Stay true to your passion. Some days you might not see the reasons why things are the way that they are. But if you do right by yourself and to others, I know great things will happen.

At Awoque, we wish to share great examples of people who do High5 actions and step out of the ordinary to do so. We get inspired by insightful survivors who dare to ask questions when they do not know the answer themselves. We follow leaders who listen and communicate from their hearts. I met a role model yesterday. Jan-Åke Jonsson, former CEO for SAAB, who inspired at Empirkalaset in Uddevalla yesterday. Both on and off stage I felt his honest engagement. Hopefully, he reached into the hearts of younger leaders in the audience and got positive motions in action.

My personal wish is to inspire you and share positive stories to make this world a better place through the power of social media. I will follow my heart and get going on a project that has been in my heart for almost ten years. What will you do?

Friday again! This week, we wanted to share “The Force” an advert that Volkswagen has created and which has surpassed 35 million views on YouTube.

The advert empowers the young Darth Vader to use his imagination and will to create enthusiasm for the brand. We like this, as as it also reflects the boys passion to achieve mind/vehicle control. Kudo’s to VW and their agency for their viral achievement. Interestingly, is what VW will do to keep their engagement with an audience that they have found favor with.

We’ve all seen the Old Spice campaign, which was was very successful on many social levels i.e engagement, spin offs, etc. However, the challenge is to build and hold your audiences attention, this is done by generating a brand to fan base; of which amongst other brands Saab has been successful in achieving.

Awoque applåderar Saab

saab fans facebook 20110316Saab Automobile anställer ett av sina största fans som bloggare. Steven Wade börjar i april skriver Dagens Industri igår.
- Gratulerar Saab, kul att ni gillade vår fan-idé. Och Wade, välkommen till nya jobbet, säger Victoria Ahlén och Paul Williams på Awoque.

I mitten på maj var Ahlén och Williams inbjudna som experter på sociala medier till Saab via HiQ. De presenterade sina idéer om att involvera biltillverkarens fans i återuppbyggnaden av företaget.

- Saab har fans som är extremt trogna. Under den turbulenta period som var innan affären med Spyker blev klar var fansens engagemang tydlig, inte minst inom sociala medier, säger Paul Williams.

Saab väljer nu att anställa ett av de mest namnkunniga fansen. Australiern Steven Wade har drivit bloggen Saabs United, som fått mycket uppmärksamhet för att vara välunderrättad. Från och med i början av april är han anställd av Saab.

- Vi gläder oss. Inte minst eftersom bilindustrin visar vilken betydelse sociala medier och fans har genom den här anställningen. Sociala medier beskylls ibland för att vara ett fenomen som bara angår unga och reklam- och mediebranschen. Inget kunde vara mer fel. Wades anställning på Saab är ett bevis för det, säger Victoria Ahlén.
